British Team Withdraws from 2010 International Six Days Enduro
The British federation has announced the withdrawal of the team from the 2010 ISDE in Morelia Mexico.
Everyone has sort of been waiting for the shoe to drop, so to speak after the announcement recently of the Aussies that they had decided to stay home from this year’s International Six Days Enduro. This is second volley fired at the event. As expected the issues that determined the team’s decision are; security problems, related insurance issues, transportation costs.
It is a shame to see this happen, the organizers have worked extremely hard to put this event together. It is the culmination of years worth of work and learning, particularly for FIM ISDE jury member Luis Ortero who has been the force behind bringing the event to Mexico. The FIM recently sent their own team to evaluate all the issues relating to the competition in central Mexico. They returned with a positive report and that was expected to help alleviate some of the concerns of the various federations.
Hopefully these developments do not lead to more withdrawals. We will keep you posted.
