Husaberg is really making a push to develop a niche for the FX line. The FX debuted about a year ago as the follow-up to the all new 2009 FE450. In concept the FX is intended to be a more race ready package, a bike that goes from cross-country to motocross and everything in between.
When I first rode this bike a year ago, I certainly liked it, but I was left just a little perplexed on where it should fit in the scheme of things. While being a little more aggressive than the standard FE model, it certainly was not a race track refugee like the KTM XCF line.
It looks like Husaberg has gotten that message too. So they are looking to spice things up a bit with a sales promotion package that will be hitting dealers as you read this.
Here is the pitch, buy a 2010 model Husaberg FX450 and you will receive the following bonus items;
FMF 4.1 slip on exhaust
Renthal grips and bar pad
Power parts ignition mapping switch
A certificate from Factory Connection to have a complete suspension revalve specifically tuned for the buyer
Extra air filter
That is a pretty impressive list, especially considering that Factory Connection does the suspension for Mike Lafferty’s AMA National Enduro bike. So if you have been looking for just the right reason to take a FX450 home, this may be just the right time.
Now on to our feature presentation, a little ride video.
