Beta’s Press Relations Manager Jean Turner in natural form – fresh off a motorcycle!
An avid off-road rider and racer herself, Turner is a motorcycle enthusiast to the core. She brings with her several years of experience in the off-road industry, first as a Web Producer at Dirt Rider Magazine and then as an Editor at Cycle News. Years of race coverage, test riding, traveling and interviewing throughout her career as a journalist have given her a noteworthy presence and strong network within the industry-an ideal platform to help promote the Beta brand in the United States.
“Beta is poised to strike in the U.S. market and I couldn’t think of a better time to get on board,” Turner commented. “It’s a great company and the bikes are amazing. It’s a shame things had to end at Cycle News, but I’m definitely ready for a clean slate and a new challenge. The next few months are going to be very exciting for everyone at Beta and I’m looking forward to seeing how much we can accomplish.”
“Jean is a perfect fit for us! Despite the economy, Beta is growing and the timing was just right. Jean’s background in the moto industry is a huge asset to Beta.” Marketing Manager, Tim Pilg stated.
Turner will be working alongside members of the motorcycle media providing news, race results, interviews, new product info, photography and of course, some hands-on opportunities to test ride Beta’s 2011 lines of motorcycles, the RR enduro line, the RS dual sport models and even the EVO trials bikes.
Members of the media, please feel free to contact Press Relations Manager Jean Turner at email@example.com for any of your editorial needs.

PASO ROBLES, CA (November 1, 2010) – Beta Motorcycles is proud to announce the newest member of its factory race team, National Trials Champion Cody Webb! The Watsonville, California resident recently inked a two-year contract with the U.S. distributor of Beta Motorcycles to ride the Italian-made RR and EVO models in both the GEICO AMA EnduroCross Series and the AMA-NATC National MotoTrial Championship Series in 2011 and 2012.

“My original trials career started on a Beta,” the 22-year-old said. “I’m really excited to get back to where I began for next year and start working on my second championship. I know the bike and the team is great and I’m looking forward to another successful year.”
Webb came on strong in the AMA EnduroCross Series last year, and in his rookie year of racing, the trials whiz kid was a consistent top qualifier in the Pro ranks. Webb has been scratching at the podium all season long, and the Beta-backed rider is looking forward to a breakthrough year in the 2011 GEICO AMA EnduroCross Series. Webb will be riding the Beta 400 RR and will undoubtedly be a podium contender and a threat to the championship.
As the newly-crowned champion, Webb is also looking forward to another dominant season in the National Trials Championship, this time with the target on his back. He will mount his 2011 title defense in the AMA-NATC National MotoTrial Championship Series aboard a Beta 290 EVO (just look for the number one plate)! As a factory-backed Beta rider, Webb will also be contending in select international events.
“We are really looking forward to the next few years with Cody on our team,” Marketing Manager Tim Pilg commented. “To have a rider with his talent is very special. The opportunities for both Cody and Beta here in the USA are endless, not only race results but also in helping our company grow our market.”
