Robby and Justin Win 6 Hours of Glen Helen
Robby Bell, Justin Seeds win 6 hours of Glen Helen
We headed out to Glen Helen this last weekend for the Six Hours of Glen Helen Race. It was a last minute decision as we prepped Robby’s practice bike on Friday. While you can run three riders in this event, we just ran two.
The course was nearly ten miles long, and included the Lucas Oil Course, the Pavilion, both MX courses, the Enduro Cross, A large mud hole, and lot of ridges and single track. The lap times were 19-20 minutes for the leaders.
Robby started and was in the lead 30 seconds into the race. He rode the first three laps and stretched the lead out to two minutes. Justin jumped on and continued to hold the lead getting quicker with every lap. Then at the two hour mark, The other John Burr Team that was running second had a motor failure and had to switch to their back up bike. We now had a six minute lead.
From here to the finish, it was just ride smooth and mistake free. At the checkered we were 13 minutes up on second, (John Burr) and had lapped the entire rest of the field. The bike ran flawless and other than checking it over thoroughly in each pit, had no down time. Both riders rode fast when needed and smart the rest of the time. There were several forms of press there and we were interviewed by them all. Hopefully it will make for some good articles.
Thank for all the continued support.
Next race up for the team is WORCS round 3, Havasu, AZ. March 25-27.
