2011 SCORE Baja 500 JCR Graphics
Here are a few news updates regarding the upcoming SCORE Baja 500
As you can see, here are the new graphics for the JCR Honda duo of Colton Udall and David Kamo. The “Zero X” number designation was given by SCORE to honor Jeff Kargola who passed away a few weeks ago.
It looks like David Pearson is out of the line up for the THR Racing entry of Shane Esposito. I believe that leaves the line up as Esposito, Bobby Garrison and Steve Hengeveld.
Bonanza Plumbing is back and flying the KTM flag again. It is a privateer effort with riders Ivan Ramirez and Brandon Prieto. They will be riding a 450sx-f with limited support from KTM North America.
The buzz about the race is how difficult this new section of “The Summit” is. Apparently the word last week, as the first prerunning began, was that it would be extremely difficult for the four wheel vehicles to get through. There were even bike riders that were having difficulty. So SCORE has arranged for the section to be graded by a dozer. I hope to ride that section early next week and have a better idea of the situation. If it is something that is freshly groomed, that means that it will probably be a silty, ugly mess by race day.
Look for full coverage to start next week as I head south to prerun with some of the guys.
