Husaber's Ljunggren celebrates Swedish chamionship
With his 30th straight round win in the Swedish Enduro Championship
Joakim took home his 6th Swedish title in the SM2 class as well as overall.
This year the final round of the Swedish Enduro Championship was run by the Enduro Club Fjugesta MS and it was a worthy final. The track was wet and rocky and many riders didn’t make it through the day as only 62 of the 106 started made it to the finish line.
For Joakim Ljunggren it was of course never a question of making it to the finish and not even about winning as he once more won every single test, in his class as well as overall.
Here’s what Joakim had to say about the race: “I’m very pleased with the outcome of the race, but honestly, after my crash and small injury at the ISDE, I thought about the World Championship all the time. I rode really carefully in order not to crash and risk an injury only one week ahead of the EWC final in France. Nevertheless I did a good race and had everything under control all the time. This season has been very good for me as I won all the races in the Swedish Championship without any problems. I’m very pleased that Husaberg gave me permission to ride the complete Swedish Championship, besides the EWC and Italian Enduro Championship, so I was able to extend my record to now 30 victories and 6 titles in a row.”
