Chilly’s Blog – Headed Out The Door
I have finally gotten some things cleaned up on my schedule and have put a ride together for Baja for a couple of days. We are headed to Tecate this morning to start and will spend tonight in San Felipe. For Monday the plan is to ride the Rock trail, to Catavina then to El Rosario via Santa Catarina. This should be an epic day.
Tuesday will be the Sleeping bag trail and maybe some other little known tracks as we continue north to Ensenada. We will finish up on Wednesday doing the usual Ensenada to Tecate ride. I say usual, because we do that one all the time. But what is so great about that area is that there are some great choices of where to go, all totally different from each other.
So it looks like a good trip. I have the 6 gallon Acerbis tank on my old trail bike, so I should be prepared for just about anything. Given the fact that is snowed pretty good up in the pines this week, I have also finally broken down and installed some grip heaters. I have wanted to do that for some time. They were sort of a pain to figure out a clean way to deal with all the wires and the switch, but I think I got it all sorted out fairly well.
I am going to try to post some pics via my Twitter feed. If you haven’t noticed, that now appears on the right hand side of the home page. The photos will show as links, but they are not enabled on the face of the Enduro360 website for some reason, so you can follow directly @ Chilly819 on Twitter.
I have a number of stories all written and scheduled to post, so watch for those on the site. See you next week – Chilly
