Alex McRee Enduro Video

Here is a some GoPro footage with Alex McRee from the Sumter National Enduro

Alex McRee, I grabbed this pic from FB, I assume it is by Shan Moore

Alex had a great day, finishing 16th overall. For me, trees like this are sheer terror. They give me nightmares, seriously. I remember one night after the New Jersey national enduro, every time I closed my eyes trees would come flying at me. So I am always impressed when I see those who are good in the tight conditions. If you notice, most of these trees don’t look like they have much flex, nice and solid. Hitting them is not an option. You will see Alex pass a number of riders. You will also get a glimpse of two stroke mounted Steward Baylor as he goes by on his way to the race win. So check it out.

Cool Vid Chilly, This year’s event had a deep top 30 in talent. S. Carolina riding is a diff world than Socal as you know. Rode a Nat’l in Pelion, SC in ’83 before my big respite from riding, miles of deep sand whoops and tight pine forest. Even the locals had busted knuckles but a few of them still had the energy to race around these barrels on a whooped out sand track after the finish which I still remember shaking my head in disbelief about. A long drive back to Indy afterwards.

Cool video Chilly, thanks for sharing. Yea it doesn’t take much of a mistake in woods like that at those speeds to be seriously injured in a big way.

The photo is by Krista Shaw of digitaloffroad.com…

Alex is one of the nicest dudes out there, and absolutely hauls the mail. Even cooler is he was a collegiate baseball player at UGA and spent some time in the minors!

  5. Hey Alex I was wandering if you would want to go to the UGA verse Tech on March the 20th or the UGA verse Clemson game on March the 27th. Both games are at 7:00pm in Athens.
