Chad Reed Out For Season

Reed Out Of 2012 Supercross Championship

Again, I don’t usually good too far into motocross news. But I love good racing and anyone who has been watching this years Supercross season shape up knows how great the racing has been so far. At no time in recent history has the competition been so good in the 450 class. Much of that is due to the fact the primary players are all healthy and putting on a good show.

But if you saw Chad Reed’s huge crash at the Dallas round on Saturday night, you know that has all changed. Chad has just Tweeted that he is out for the season. After seeing the scary get off he had, it comes as no surprise. I am sorry to see it happen. Sorry to see anyone get hurt. Sorry to see one of the strongest competitors go down. Chad was looking stronger at each round, due for another win.

From Chad:Well I spent the day in the hospital yesterday here’s the damage.. 2 broken ribs, broken spinous T6. Torn ACL and fractured tib fib…”

Personally I think Villapotto is going to check out on this season, leaving all the competition trailing. Dungey is in good position, mostly due to consistency, not outright speed. Then there is Stewart who once again can just never seem to get all the pieces in the right place at the right time.

Get Well Chad
