Invitation – Enduro360 Baja Tour

Tour Baja With Enduro360

Ride Baja With Chilly & Enduro360

I am excited to announce the first Enduro360 Baja tour date. After many many requests, I have finally put everything together so I can organize a guided tour of Northern Baja.

Now, I am not exactly sure what sales pitch I can give you to entice you to come spend your time and money to ride with me. For the most part my only qualification is that I am a Baja junkie who is mostly just looking for an excuse to go riding. In truth though, I have spent many years working as a tour guide, as well as being invited to guide many prominent groups around Baja.

The boss says I have to start saving now if I want to go to Romania next year. So the proceeds go to the 2013 Romaniacs fund. So come on along, we will have a great time.

Here is what you need to know

Dates - October 5-8 2012

Ride - 4 days  and 3 nights riding around some of my favorite parts of Baja. We will cover three primary areas; Pacific coast, Pine Forest and the mountains near Mike’s Sky Ranch. One nights stay will be in Ensenada. That is about all the detail I can give you on the route. We have the overnight stops planned, but I choose each days route more or less as we ride.

I guarantee to show you some of my favorite spots, both on the trail and in the towns. The food is fantastic. The people are friendly. The scenery can be breathtaking. As your guide I will do everything to make your trip fun and safe. I speak fluent  Spanish and while it is not absolutely necessary, it does give me a special connection with the people I encounter in Mexico.

Skill Level- This ride will be specifically designed for first time adventurers to Baja, but of course everyone is welcome. The difficulty of the terrain will be suitable for novice to intermediate riders.  Baja first timers are often the most fun to ride with because every location is a new experience for them. I get a kick out of seeing the kind of sensory overload that Baja’s natural beauty imparts to the newcomers.

Group Size- The ride will be limited to 10 riders maximum

What is included- This is an all inclusive event, your trip will cover

  • transportation from San Diego and back
  • all meals and trail-side snacks
  • double occupancy room

Bikes- You can bring your own bike. We also have  a couple available for rental. These are the trusty KTM 450 RFS models. If you plan to bring your own bike, please make sure it is properly prepared for the ride.  It should have a fuel range of at least 80 miles and working lights.  Other than that, no special equipment is required. We always appreciate quiet bikes.

Cost- $1225 for those who bring their own bikes, $1775 with bike rental. The bikes are prepped with Trail Tricks suspension, Flex bars  and comfy seats. A couple of them also feature a Rekluse auto clutch.

So sign up early (and often) for this great adventure. Send us an email via the contact at the top of the page. We will reply with all the details and sign up sheet.

No Flakes – No Whiners allowed! But everyone else is welcome. :)  If I think of it I will add some super awesome name for the ride, but I can’t think of anything right off. Maybe we will give you a t-shirt too.

I has the privilege of riding Baja for the first time this past memorial day weekend and it is absolutely amazing place.

I highly recommend it to any two wheel enthusiast.

I have a Midwestern woods riders mentality and was worried I may not like the high speed and open roads/ trails of baja. Quite the opposite happened.

By the third day in baja I was in love with the terrain and experience. I was cursing at the thought of returning to dodging trees at 18 mph.

    Have fun.

Hi Skian, thanks I went and “liked” the Boulder Moto page, spread the word.

Hey Chilli, here you put on a great adventure. I run a blog Boulder Moto on FB. like to get the word out to the crew in the rockies who follow it. All you have to do is friend BM and I’ll get the word out in the rockies. Lot’s of guys out here could use a good Baja trip unfortunately I’ll just miss your adventure.

Hi Scott, I sent you an email.

For lights, I think the Baja Designs Squadron LED is probably the best off the shelf choice right now. It should be very durable and does not take too much power. Check with Baja D, they will probably tell you that you need a stator upgrade.

On the Flex bars, the 10 degree bend is similar to stock KTM and that is what I have for my bikes. If you do more sitting down or woods riding, the 12 degree might be a little more comfortable.

For all of you who have inquired about the Baja ride, I have received your emails and will be sending out additional information later today.

  7. Scott says:

Hey Chilly, sent an email requesting information about your Baja ride. Not exactly sure if it went through so just following up it. Please send information if you have spots available.

Also, any recommendations for headlights ? I ride a 2008 KTM 450 XC, I have looked at the trail tech and the Baja designs Fuego 8″ so far. Does it need a stator upgrade for these lights? Second, what bend do you recommend for the Flex bars?

    Scott

  8. Chilly says:

Hi Mike, I got your email and will send you a reply, yes looks we still have some space open for this trip.

  9. Mike Neagle says:

Chilly, What a great idea and a great way for me to get a chance to ride in Baja. I have never ridden there before and see this as a great opportunity to do just that. Do you have another spot or two available?

  10. Chilly says:

Hi Aaron, yes we have room for the two of you. I just sent you a reply email. Looks like it will be a great trip.

Hi Chilly, checking to see how many slots you have left for your Baja trip? It would be myself and one friend.

    Best,
