Today was a fantastic day of riding. Casey McCoy had some great routes for us. We had to make a few adjustments, but it all turned out well.
We rode north from Cedarville to Lakeview, Silver Lake, Fort Rock, China Hat and into Bend. The China Hat area is where I learned to ride a motorcycle many years ago, so the ride brought back lots of memories for me.
The KTM 990 Adventure is doing great, this one has very nice power characteristics. It seems smoother and stronger than previous ones I have ridden.
I have a new gps that I am using for the first time, Garmin 62. I really like it, easy to use and good screen quality. The new Klim Latitude suit is doing well. The jacket is near perfect, the pants just a little short for me. Both pieces vent well and have good overall temperature control. So other than having to deal with a dusty visor today, things are pretty perfect.
I took the saddle bags off the 990 and opted to run the Giant Loop bag. I am really glad I did, we had some tight squeezes today in the more challenging sections, nice not have to worry about catching a hard bad against a tree.
The pics tell most of the story for the day, here you go:
some off road action, lots of dead fall trees

finally had to turn back, downed trees for as far as the eye could see
