* – Make sure to check back for full Team USA results later. I am waiting for club rider results, they must have not run the club riders through the final test. There are club team results posted and the times for club riders are faster than many of the trophy riders, so I assume they did not run test #8.
The top riders have finished the day. But looking at the live timing, it appears many of the club riders still have a ways to go. The trophy riders have completed all 8 tests for the day, but many club riders still have at least two tests to complete. It looks like 20-30 total riders might not finish today.
Now that we have hit day 3, it is time to take a look at how the overall standings are shaking out. Besides, we will still have to wait a bit for full results. Antoine Meo has taken a 20 second lead over Renet. The French team is still commanding the lead with the top four overall riders. The Aussies are very strong in second.
Notable DNF’s for the day are Juha Salminen and Christobal Guerrero
2012 ISDE Overall Results, after Day 3
27th Caselli, 28th Duvall
Lots of time penalties across the board for club riders today, particularly the E3 riders. Fred Hoess was the top US rider for the day, followed closely by Devan Bolin.
A number of riders show enough time penalties to have houred out during the day. But the only rider listed as out of the competition is Ron Schmelzle (DQ). The ISDE vets will always tell you, “keep riding, regardless what happens”. It is common for time penalties or tests to get thrown out overnight by the jury. So as long as you got your bike back to impound and show up ready to ride the next day, you might just be able to continue.
