Factory Beta/Stillwell Performance racer Cody Webb left his bad luck that haunted him the last two races behind and finished a solid second place in last weekend’s AMA Geico Endurocross held in Boise, Idaho. Webb crashed in the prior two rounds while running up front however the team decided to make the switch to a Rekluse EXP clutch for the Idaho round and the results changed for the better.
Webb Explains, “I am very happy to make it back onto the podium in Idaho. I had a few tough races recently and did some testing with Rekluse the week prior to the race to prevent further struggles. In the main event I rocketed out to my first main even holeshot led the first lap before getting passed by Taddy. I got by him once more later in the race, but pumped up and just couldn’t ride at my full potential. I stayed within striking distance and when Taddy went down on the last lap it wasn’t quite enough to get my first win. Can’t thank all my sponsors and everyone for all their help enough. Looking forward to the finals in Vegas”.
Beta mounted Max Gerston rode solid in the first heat race however a smashed ignition cover and a few other issues kept him from making it into the main event. “The track was fun and super gnarly, making the 350 a perfect bike for the huge logs of Boise, Idaho. I hit a big rock and destroyed my engine case which put an end to my race. I had fun and learned a lot for Vegas! I am hoping to get into the main event for the last round of the season.” Gerston explains.
The Team travels to the final round in Las Vegas on November 17th. Cody Webb sits third in points and has a shot at the title if things go his way. The two-moto format in Vegas doubles the points so things may get interesting.
