Chilly’s Blog – Enduro360 Milestones
Good news today, Enduro360 has reached another milestone in growth. For the first time ever, we have surpassed 100,000 page views in a 30 day period. In the internet world, we are still a small fish. But in the realm of our little dirt bike and enduro world, we are doing pretty well. So there is always a sense of satisfaction for me when we can reach new heights for the first time.
It was only last month that we reached 90,000 page views for the first time. This is credited to our strong Dakar coverage. It takes plenty of work, but it always pays off in terms of the viewer numbers. Enduro360 has not quite reached our third birthday yet, so it is easy for me to remember when those same Google Analytic numbers were pathetically small.
Our typically growth pattern goes in sporadic increases, followed by plateau periods, sometimes even short drops. For the most part, it is all about the content. Good content brings readers. But there are many more contributing factors to the success of a website also. One of the biggest ones is when our readers share our content with their friends via social media and forums. So please, always feel free to share what you like. Even if it is just a photo of ours that you like. Anytime you post our links, it helps us tremendously. We are only here because of your support.
I want to share a couple of screen shots that come from our Google Analytics. The first refers to numbers of viewers for the previous 30 day period. The second is referrals, where people came to our site from. The final one is specific Google search queries that brought people to us. I read this stuff every single day. Some of the information seems almost random and it is important not to read too much in to is, as it is only snapshot of one moment in time.
