Rodrig Thain makes Gas Gas enduro debut
The highlight of rider Rodrig Thain was the Bassella Race. The newly signed Gas Gas rider that debuted on a high note last week in Barcelona Indoor SuperEnduro, has been quick to get on the podium and has done so twice. In the Xtreme Race yesterday, the Frenchman put the EC 300 R into the third position without risking too much, while the other side of the coin was Danny McCanney who had to leave due to a technical problem. McCanney who scored two wins at the Palau Sant Jordi, decided not to start in the Cross Country because it would be a risk if he were to fall, where the stakes the World Indoor Championships in junior category, in which he is a leader and with only one month left before the Enduro World Championship begins in Chile.
Despite never having ridden the traditional race in the Pyrenees and having a bad start, Thain had a comfortable third place finish. He could have snatched second place from Kvanstrom, but a fall in the second lap plagued him. Yet Thain feels increasingly comfortable with the Gas Gas and continues to improve with the bike he will ride in the Enduro 3 category.
RODRIG THAIN – “It’s a beautiful race and has helped us to continue getting the feel for the bike and improve some things. I am satisfied with the result we have obtained. We have a good line of work and this has been a good workout to get ready for Chile”
