2013 Gas Gas Factory Replica Enduro
The best bikes in the world must be available for the most demanding users. This is the view we have at Gas Gas. So we have launched the new 2013 Factory Replica Enduro: An official team bike in your hands.
The Factory Replica provides the latest innovations from the Gas Gas racing department, and not only the continuous improvements that make it easier for riders to maximize their performance in competition, but also the high quality components used and tested by our riders in the World Championships, Indoor Enduro and Superenduro, in which Danny McCanney is the reigning junior world champion. The Factory Replicas were born so that fans all over the World can enjoy them.
Highlights among the technical improvements that have been introduced in this new Factory Replica model, are especially the new cylinder head with pre-compression by Pere Ibanez, the prestigious technician who since 2011 is responsible for the preparation of the factory race bikes.
Powerful under control
While in the previous models, changes mainly affected the chassis which was lightened and had improvements to the steering angle, an aluminum sub-frame, and revision of the pull-rods for stability and traction, the main innovations that are offered in these new Gas Gas Factory Racing models for the 2013 season are focused upon enhancing ‘racing’ aspects, such as the clutch, suspension and power curve.
While some motor tweaks have been made to the Gas Gas EC Factory Racing range, most recently renovatedis the head, S3 red anodized, specifically and independently designed by Pere Ibanez, gaining more power in all rev-ranges. The clutch is one of the novel aspects in this new range. The hub and the signature Rekluse cover is an exclusive personalization for Gas Gas. This achieves a clutch more modular with longer life and reduces the rebound effect and slipping of the clutch. The Keihin carburetor and FMF silencer, two guarantees for the most demanding ‘riders’.
‘Full racing’ components and suspension
Highlights for another part of the cycle is the great work that has been done in the suspension category, mainly the front, unlike the previous Replica, they are now Marzocchi brand. In which the race team riders have found a greater willingness for tuning. The fork is 48mm diameter chrome steel with anti-friction treatment. The cartridge is pressurized and is adjustable in spring preload, rebound and compression. In the rear, the shock is entrusted to an Öhlins TTX44, which can also be regulated in extension, compression and spring preload, plus the CSC system (Chassis Stability Control) which offers more stability to the entire chassis.
The Renthal Fat Bar handlebars carry a pad with the renowned brand and the grips are Pro-Grip. The brake assemblies have front and rear Nissin master cylinders and Galfer Wave disc rotors. The wheels on the Factory Replica are also high quality with Takasago Excel rims and Metzeler Six Days Extreme tires.
Finally, note that in addition to Polisport plastics, the Factory Racing models come standard with the same decor as the bikes used by the ridersof the Gas Gas Factory Team Pons.
The Gas Gas Factory Racing model will be available, starting in May in 250 and 300 cc versions, always with the proven two-strokeGas Gas Engine. The presentation of this model will be in the Grand Prix of Spain’s Enduro World Championship to be held in Puerto Lumbreras (Murcia).
