According to Enduropro.com, Knighter has signed a deal to race Super Enduro and Extreme Enduro with Sherco.
It is no secret that it has been a financially difficult year for David as he worked to put together his own privateer Honda program. He recently announced his decision to quit racing on the World Enduro scene and focus on extreme competitions. He also chose not to represent Great Britain in Sardinia at the ISDE because of the financial burden.
Hard enduro is quickly taking control of the world’s best enduro talents with strong media and TV coverage, all of which equate to money. Let’s not forget that David Knight was among the first Endurocross stars here in the US. It will be interesting to see how the big man and small Sherco get along. He is scheduled to race Ukupacha in Ecuador next month, hopefully I will have a chance to catch up with him there and his new ride.
Enduropro.com is also hinting at another forthcoming Sherco signing announcement of a top Spanish rider. Who will it be?
