Jake Argubright Hare & Hound Race Report
Off Road Support’s Jacob Argubright closes out the National Hare and Hound season with Another Victory!
Northridge, Ca- After 96 miles of grueling desert racing, Off Road Support’s Jacob Argubright collected his second win of the season, finishing with a nearly one minute margin over the second place bike. As the only Kawasaki in the top 20, Argubright battled the top three riders the entire race, until ultimately pulling away in the final 10 miles.
“We are all really proud of Jacob today,” Explained Steve Argubright of Off Road Support. “Jacob and Off Road Support are virtually the last of the Kawasaki’s professionally competing in off road, and to finish the year out with a win is the best thing that Jacob could do for the team and its sponsors!”
The win, which wasn’t easy, was full of drama as Argubright physically got lost coming out of the pits. “I was just in race mode, and thinking all I need to do is ‘Pin it!’ The course split to the left, but I went straight. That is when Justin followed me, and we both got stuck in the rocks. I was pretty mad when the next two bikes went by, but I put my head down and reeled them in.” Jacob said after the race.
Argubright physically entered the pits on his final lap in second position. As the leaders exited the pit, Jacob turned up the pressure and eventually made a pass that would stick. Finishing in dominating fashion, the Off Road Support KX450F of Argubright completed the event with a 59-second gap over second.
“I rode this one today for Kurt (Caselli), he taught me a lot of thing in the time that we raced together. One of the most important was that I need to go hard all the time, I did that today, even when I was out front and it definitely paid off.”
With the win Argubright, finished the season Second Overall in series points for the Pro class. Off Road Support would like to congratulate Jacob on a great season as we set our sights on a 2014 Championship.
