I have run the XD3 for a few years and my only complaint was the fogging of the visor in rain or singletrack conditions. A FogCity inner liner on the visor has just solved that issue but now I do like the looks of the new XD4…
Big fan of the xd helmet here. I combine the xd4 with smith slider/replacement len sunglasses (or similar)and its the bomb. Shield up in the slower technical riding for improved ventilation and visibility. Change up your sunglass lens as needed for type of day/riding. Yellow for cloudy/deep woods, grey for sunny, and clear for night riding. Hit the road, drop the shield and go. Rain is bit tricky. Need to just barley ventilate to prevent fogging. To much venting and the inside of the helmet/liner becomes wetted and its full on shield fogging which soon leads to having to ride with the shield up. No fun when that happens. Cheers……Bob
