One of the most common questions I get asked is about how Graham Jarvis preps his race bikes. He wins so often, his bike must really be something special.
People always seem let down when I tell them that Graham’s bike is almost completely stock. As is the case with our own King of the Motos race, Graham typically flys in and picks a new bike up from the local importer. With our 2014 Husky, the bike was actually still in the crate when he showed up to collect it. As for the rest of the prep, here it is in full detail. Other than tires and a few protection bits, it is bone stock. Now that I think about it, we didn’t even touch the suspension, clickers or sag. Just run it!
The jetting is leaned out a little with the supplied “K” needle and one clip position leaner than stock. The powervalve has the stock spring and the preload is opened up to where the the adjuster just about flush with the case. The makes the motor a tad more aggressive.
