Round 7 of the AMA District 37 Big 6 Grand Prix Series took place this weekend in Gorman, CA, under cold and wet conditions that obviously didn’t slow down FMF/RPM/KTM Racing’s Eric Yorba, as he raced to another class win and the Big 6 WCGP Pro Championship.
Eric’s year included some ups and downs but his five podium finishes, which included three overall class wins, were enough to clinch the championship with one round remaining
Eric Yorba – in his own words…
“This has been an up and down year for me. I’ve learned a lot from my first pro year in both the WORCS series and the Big 6 series and am lucky enough to come away with the Big 6 Pro Championship! The race this weekend was a cold and rainy one. I was sick all week and not feeling well going into my race. I knew I just needed to finish to wrap up the title so I just tried to ride a smooth consistent race and was able to take the class win. I’m pretty happy with how everything turned out for my rookie Pro year. I now need to take everything I learned from this year and put it towards next year. Thanks to my family, friends and all my sponsors who helped me this year. Can’t wait for 2015 race season to start!”
