The course was zig-zagged through 800 acres of the Salinas Ramblers MC property. The terrain was steep hills with ridge tops and ravines. Many cross trails in low brush (tight, tight, tight). Not many trees, but some to avoid, bridges, tunnels and open roads (not many). There were heavy rock sections and a man-made endurocross section over tires and logs and rocks, etc. The open areas created a lot of dust and the ravines were still moist from rain a week ago – turned to mud as bikes churned it up. Overall the course was great – very tough – but awesome! Many riders came across the line and said “great course.”
2015 AMAWHS Rnd.2 – Mills
Most of Team SRT likes the tough courses with tight technical terrain so we did fairly well and almost all loved the course! With such a large team, we will have good days and bad days. Most of the team did well but we did have a couple of riders that had rough days. We’ll take the good with the bad and hope for a better weekend at the next round! 3 of Team SRT riders are members of the club that put this on… so we had 15 riders at this event – all dressed up in team uniform and it lookedsweet – what a presence!
