Strong Season Opener For Beta Riders23

Beta USA’s Factory Endurocross team got off to a solid start in Florida this past weekend. Leading the way was Beta racer Morgan Tanke taking the win in the woman Pro class. Next was another Beta youngster Ty Cullins taking a heat race win in his first-ever Pro start. Beta Pro riders Kyle Redmond and Max Gerston finished the Pro main 3rd and 5th respectively.

Kyle Redmond had a great start of his season by leading the main for several laps and eventually finishing on the podium. The Beta rider is looking forward to the next round in Salt Lake. “I’m really happy with round one with a 3rd, it’s a good way to start off the season. I will work on a few things and try to do better next time.” Redmond comments.

Beta’s new woman pro racer Morgan Tanke came out swinging from the start. The racer from Riverside, California was challenged most of the race by Tarah Gieger and Shelby Turner but continued to fight on the nasty black sand to take the main event win. It marks Beta’s the first win by a woman in Endurocross. “I was excited to get the holeshot and knew I had to stay calm to keep it up front. Tarah and Shelby where putting the pressure on but I was able to get my Beta across the finish line first! I can’t thank Beta enough for all of the support and the great bike!” Tanke explains.

Competing in his very first Pro Endurocross race, Californian Ty Cullins had a night he will never forget! The goal of making the main event was exceeded by a heat race win and a solid ninth place finish in the final. The heat race win marks the youngest rider to ever win an Endurocross heat race. Cullins describes his race, “After not riding very good all day in practice and going to my LCQ just to make it to the night show I was able to get 12th in the hot laps, giving my 4th gate pick in my heat race. In my heat race I had a decent start and was able to make some passes in the rocks and just rode clean and was able to get the win in my first pro heat race. In the main event I just rode my own race and tried to make minimal mistakes and rode to a solid 9th place and also secured my spot in the X-Games.”

The Factory Beta USA team heads to Salt Lake City, Utah on March 21st for round two of the Geico Endurocross Series.
