“The Salt Lake City track was fast with short lap times,” said Gerston. “I had a bit of a rough go in my first hot lap when my front tire fell in a hole and I went flying over the bars. I had a bad gate pick for my heat but I was still able to have a good ride and qualify straight to the main. I was able to capitalize on a 2nd turn pile up in the main event and drop into second place. I held that for about half the race then dropped back to 3rd which I held to the finish. My 300 RR worked perfect. I’m very excited to get my first podium and I look forward to more in the future.”
In all, Beta USA’s EnduroCross riders captured a third place finish with Max Gerston and an eighth with Kyle Redmond. In the Women’s Class, Morgan Tanke continued where she left off by leading the class in her main event. A take-out with two turns to go left her with a third place finish. Beta USA wishes Morgan Tanke a speedy recovery as she recovers from a broken wrist on Saturday. Tanke hopes to be back by Vegas to defend her points lead in the Women’s Class.
